I like Michel Rolland's style, his expert hands, taking into account the respective terroir, always bring enjoyable wines. The Dourthe 2020 is already an excellent Bordeaux, very tasty
A classic interpretation of Bordeaux, without the excesses of the 1990s; fruity aromas, spices (vanilla) and wood are well integrated, although in the mouth the wine is still a little rough with green tannins. Wait a few years to drink it with an entrecôte à la maître d'hotel.
Garnet colour, strong tannin on the palate, wine that holds well with subtle aromas, goes well with red meat, I recommend.
A discreet wine.... accompanies meat dishes very well but personally did not excite me
A young and fresh Bordeaux, the tannin is slightly excessive and certainly a little more ageing would not hurt. The red fruits, on the other hand, are very pleasant, interesting to taste again in a year's time.
A garnet-red colour, you can feel the strong tannins on the palate, a wine that holds together well with subtle aromas, goes well with red meat and cheese, I recommend it.
A Bordeaux that's a little too young for my taste, it deserves to be left to age before opening. The red fruits are very pleasant and the tannin is very present.
Very tasty wine with good backbone. The tannins are still evident and 'scratch' a little. Take this into account when pairing. Good with sauces and stews. In a couple of years it will be more pleasant and 'rounded'. In any case a good purchase.
Good Bordeaux. Very good quality to price ratio, a regular wine with no surprises that goes very well with red meat or cheese and is perfect for a good time with friends.
This is our #1 choice for a Bordeaux that is not too expensive and is neither too heavy nor too banal, with well-smoothed tannins enveloping an ever-crisp fruit. It goes wonderfully with a simple chopped steak.
Vignobles Dourthe - above all else these are wine makers across six Bordeaux châteaux. Each estate is managed with drive by a young, dynamic team, overseen by Frédéric Bonnaffous, Director at Vignobles Dourthe. Their aim is to showcase the terroir and to produce distinctive wines that are references for their appellation.
