LEAVE YOUR REVIEWMy two favourite regions in France for vin rouge are Beaujolais et Burgundy. This Cote de Brouilly is very very light so much so that I will definitely be buying more than two bottles which I purchased this delivery. Recommended.
A fine discovery with excellent quality to price ratio.
Pleasant to drink now, it also reveals a great potential for ageing. A TOP of the appellation.
Definitely a quality Côte de Brouilly that will delight your taste buds. A fine discovery, enjoyed at a Sunday lunch at home; it was unanimously acclaimed.
I am happy, I still have a few bottles in the cellar; a really dreamlike wine.
What is it missing? No, it has too much: for a Beaujolais - and in summer at that - simply too much substance, too much power, despite the elegance that is present.
It all began in 1850 with the purchase of the vineyard by Auguste SOLET, a polytechnic engineer and architect. The estate remained a family affair until 1937 when it became the property of the Pasteur Institute. Since the end of 2020, the Lavorel family, originally from Lyon, has been the proud owner of the estate, and wishes to continue its management by maintaining tradition and know-how. Located on 36 hectares in the heart of the Beaujolais region, mainly on the Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly crus, Château des Ravatys offers wines full of depth, charm and suppleness. Already attentive to the environmental impact and certified HEV 3, this exceptional estate has also begun the conversion of its vines to organic farming.
