Domaine de la Begude is always a delight. In my opinion, it's one of the top 3 best Bandols. The 2017 will be finer and sweeter than the 2019. It can be kept for another ten years or so without any problem.more reviews

Ideal with your summer meals, here is the rosé from the Bégude winery, a very aromatic organic Bandol rated by Robert Parker!
With its explosive aromas of peach, red fruits and citrus, it's quite simple - nothing and no-one can resist it, especially if you pair it with some typically Provençal fare (grilled king prawns, anchoïade or a pissaladière, etc.). This elegant, balanced Bandol is a fine gastronomic rosé, but above all it is a wine for sharing and good humour that people love to savour in a summer atmosphere!

DOMAINE DE LA BEGUDE

It was in 1996 that Guillaume Tari fell in love with the Bandol region and acquired the Domaine de la Bégude. This estate is steeped in history and bears its name well, since beguda is the place where one drinks in Provençal dialect. Guillaume and his wife Soledad have been producing organically certified wine and olive oil since 2006. 23 hectares of vines scattered within 500 hectares of garrigue, like an aerial balcony over the Mediterranean. One of the particularities of the vineyard lies in its location at altitude: On the highest point of the Bandol appellation, at 410 metres, the vines preserve a freshness with significant temperature variations between day and night. In this country where Mourvèdre is king, this grape variety knows how to express the particularities of its terroir: rocky soil, plenty of sunshine, altitude, iodine mistral. The estate produces rosé wines for gastronomy, but also red wines of Provence, which are rarer. Great wines made for ageing.
