LEAVE YOUR REVIEWThis is a sophisticated wine with highly changing perfumes and tastes during the degustation. Several notes of wild fruits and a proper severity given by the tannins. It could be fresh or extremely complex as per the ability in combining the meals. For sure, this is a superior experience .
Good basic Barolo, though less noble than its variations from the same estate. To be aerated for at least an hour, an hour and a half to smooth out its rougher sides. 17,5.
A Barolo that has a lot going for it! You will love its aromatic palette and powerful flavours, the perfect wine to accompany a fine piece of meat!
A very nice Barolo with good complexity, red and black fruit aromas, elegant and fine tannins, and a nice freshness.
A powerful wine, rich in tannins. A long finish on the palate for this intense cuvée. Can be kept for a few more years, but impatient drinkers will not be disappointed.
The estate is located in the heart of the famous Barolo region, in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto. It was founded in 1912 by grandfather Giuseppe. Today, Giorgio Sordo presents the third generation to manage this family estate. The Sordo family owns 53 hectares of vineyards in five different municipalities in the Barolo wine region. This explains the great diversity of their cuvées. It is with know-how, rigorous work and respect for tradition that the estate has managed over the years to establish itself among the great names of the Piedmont region. The estate is renowned in Italy, but also abroad, for its highly elegant Barolos, of impressive complexity and ageing potential.
