VIEILLES VIGNES 2019 - CLOS DES QUARTERONS

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Loire / St Nicolas de Bourgueil AOC / 12,5 % vol

AB (organic wine) Biodynamic Demeter (biodynamic certification) EU organic farming Independent winemakers
A Cabernet Franc of remarkable complexity and persistence!
This wine owes its complexity to the blending of all the old vine parcels on the domaine. The vines are on average 55 years old. Bright red in colour with ruby highlights, this Vieilles Vignes vintage opens onto blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry notes. Crisp on the attack, it has plenty of tone while leaving you with the impression of roundness due to its silky tannins. A dense wine but in an elegant, stylish way. Don't worry about keeping it in the cellar - it will get even better with time!

CLOS DES QUARTERONS

The emblem of the vineyard, Maison Amirault was built in the early 1800s and acquired by Xavier's great-great-grandfather in 1830. But it was in 1893 that Octave Amirault, the great-grandfather. Xavier's father makes it a wine estate. Today the estate covers 37 hectares. Guided by their convictions and a strong desire to respect the environment, the Amiraults make living wines. Working with common sense and simplicity to preserve the environment, they have chosen biodynamic agriculture. A pedological study was carried out on the whole area which made it possible to identify 12 units of terroir which are each worked according to their own needs.
