In my opinion, this is the best Côte Rôtie ever made! This 2020 vintage is a little marvel: both powerful and fine, with velvety tannins and a beautiful acidity that gives it great freshness. The fruity and spicy notes on the nose continue on the palate, with flavours of cherry, blackcurrant and liquorice that blend harmoniously together.
Taking over from their father Edmond, Benjamin and David Duclaux gradually revolutionized the style of wines from this Côte-Rôtie estate. Entirely located on the Côte Blonde, the vineyard produces rather fine and delicate wines which today tend towards more finesse and elegance. An area not to lose sight of under any circumstances!
