Grandson of a winegrower, Thierry Rodriguez bought his first vines in 1997. Modest in size at the start, his estate gradually grew to finally be called Mas Gabinèle, "vineyard hut" in Occitan. Mas Gabinèle is ideally located in the town of Laurens in the heart of the Faugères AOC in Languedoc, famous for its magnificent schist terroir, at an altitude of 180 meters on the last foothills of the Cévennes. The estate now has 20 hectares of vines, made up of plants typical of the Mediterranean rim and surrounded by scrubland, and produces deliberately low yields with the ambition of producing great wines.
