TRADITIONNELLE ROUGE 2021 - DAMIEN BRUNEAU

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Loire / St Nicolas de Bourgueil AOC / 12,5 % vol

Independent winemakers High Environmental Value certification
Freshness and fresh red berries! It can be served as an aperitif or with Mediterranean dishes.
This 100% Cabernet Franc cuvée has two different origins. Firstly, grapes from at least 40 years old vines, planted on sandy soils, for their fresh and fruity aromas. But also from a harvest of thirty year old vines on the hillside for the good mouthfeel with present and round tannins. When tasted, we discover a beautiful purplish colour, freshness and fruitiness on the nose. The palate is light but supported by round and supple tannins. It is a wine that is pleasant to drink in its youth. It will be at its best after one year in the bottle, as its more rounded tannins will coat its fresh fruit aromas even better. Serve it chilled, at 16-17°C, as an aperitif with cold meats. More temperate, throughout a meal, it will go easily with fish and red or white meats.

DAMIEN BRUNEAU

The family winery, producing Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil wines, enjoys the diversity of the terroirs of the Loire Valley. With 20 hectares scattered throughout the appellation, the range is wide: the red wines delight the palate for their complex aromas; the dry rosé wines in small yield are better known; sparkling wines in Crémant de Loire are a tribute to the region's wines. In the vines as in the cellars, each decision is important. Damien Bruneau has understood this well: he combines tradition and modernity, striving to give the best of vintages year after year.
