The Charles Joguet estate, located in the heart of the Loire Valley, covers 35 ha in Chinon AOC, planted with Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. Several years ago, the estate made the choice to turn to organic farming (certification in 2016 by Ecocert), responsible and respectful of the environment by maintaining and constantly improving the health of the soil, water, fauna and flora. This is accompanied by manual work that promotes biodiversity in the vines: the presence of hedges, grass strips, good management of water and fertilization. The vines, displayed in very different vintages, reflect the rich diversity of the appellation's terroirs: from gravelly terraces which give light wines, to clay-limestone slopes for wines to keep. The Domaine produces small yields favouring a good concentration of the grapes: from 25 hl/ha for the wines to keep up to 40 hl/ha for the first cuvées.
