DOS LUSIADAS

In 2009, Michel Chapoutier located a parcel in the Douro Valley. A very small parcel of 3 hectares, but full of promise: Eleivera. Here, the winters are harsh, the summers scorching and dry. To achieve sufficient yields, Michel Chapoutier meets local producers and partners with them, cultivating Touriga Nacional, a typical Portuguese grape. From there were born Pinteivera and Eleivera, two representatives of this Unesco World Heritage region.
