LEAVE YOUR REVIEWThis second wine of the blason d'Issan is quite typical of the Margaux appellation. Although it is not at the level of its big brother, it can be appreciated for its supple tannins but with a nice length.
Round, medium-bodied. When well oxygenated, the intensity does not overpower the bouquet. Cherry, black berry, blueberry, violet well blended. I recommend it for harmonising dishes that are not too intense.
A wine with good length and supple, mellow tannins. A second wine from the Margaux appellation at a small price, very pleasant to drink. Go for it with your eyes closed
Powerful, woody nose with a beautiful colour. Fine aromas of red fruits and tannins with a good length on the palate. To be kept in the cellar for a few more years.
Review left on BLASON D'ISSAN 2018 - SECOND WINE OF CHATEAU D'ISSANAlthough not one of the best 2017 vintages. Good spicy wine with hints of wood, blackcurrant, pepper, cloves... I recommend letting it oxygenate for an hour or so to fully appreciate it.
Black purple colour. Nose: oak, blackcurrants, blackberries, liquorice, leather. Palate: blackcurrant, blackberry, liquorice, round, easy-drinking, syrupy, easy tannins, slight astringency, still a little short. Impression: very pleasant, easy to drink and round, deserves to be kept longer.
A fruity, lively, ripe Margaux. Elegant and refined (I would even go so far as to describe it as "feminine"), it is the perfect accompaniment to a cheese platter or other meat (red or white).
Château d'Issan presents wines of finesse and elegance. They express an exquisite nose specific to the Margaux region, standing out for its smooth, delightful and finessed qualities that are distinct to its terroir. Its second wine, Blason d'Issan, is produced from appellation parcels of about 18 months old, and benefits from similar grape varieties to its older sibling. Everything you need to gain access to and enjoy the marvellous world of this stunning appellation.
