Don't hesitate to decant this superb red to relax its tannic strength. This Chemin has a good structure, with concentrated cherry fruit and notes of garrigue. It is a generous red that does not lack flesh!more reviews

A lovely, highly concentrated red with a frankly tasty fruit!
Another magnificent red with great sincerity! This Chemin cuvée offers a persistent and racy nose with aromas of cooked fruits, black fruits and spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and tasty, with generous peppery flavours and powerful tannins that just need to be refined. This is a very pleasant, highly concentrated red!

CLOS DE L'OURS

The origins of the estate are remote. They date back to the Middle Ages, when a large part of Cotignac and its surroundings were owned by the Templars. The estate, one of the most northerly of the Côtes de Provence appellation, benefits from an exceptional microclimate. The thermal amplitudes are important, especially in summer, with hot days and cool nights, which is very beneficial to the vines and allows a slow and regular maturity of the grapes. More than 3000 hours of sunshine per year and the protection of the Mistral against humidity are a precious help to the work as winegrowers. The clay-limestone soil is perfectly suited to the Provençal grape varieties and allows the old vines to express their full potential. The vineyard has eight grape varieties. Three white grape varieties, Rolle, Clairette and Ugni Blanc and five red grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault. The vines are on average 50 years old, the oldest vines being 70 years old.
