With an explosive blend of Cinsault and Carignan, L'Agachon is a must-taste!
Agachon is a red wine blend of Cinsault and Carignan. With a beautiful ruby red colour, it opens with a nose of crisp red and black fruits. The palate is elegant and supple with a freshness enhanced by a minty and peppery note. The tannins are fine for this perfectly balanced cuvée.

CLOS DE L'OURS

The origins of the estate are remote. They date back to the Middle Ages, when a large part of Cotignac and its surroundings were owned by the Templars. The estate, one of the most northerly of the Côtes de Provence appellation, benefits from an exceptional microclimate. The thermal amplitudes are important, especially in summer, with hot days and cool nights, which is very beneficial to the vines and allows a slow and regular maturity of the grapes. More than 3000 hours of sunshine per year and the protection of the Mistral against humidity are a precious help to the work as winegrowers. The clay-limestone soil is perfectly suited to the Provençal grape varieties and allows the old vines to express their full potential. The vineyard has eight grape varieties. Three white grape varieties, Rolle, Clairette and Ugni Blanc and five red grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault. The vines are on average 50 years old, the oldest vines being 70 years old.
