Deep red highlights and perfectly-ripe black fruit aromas characterise this beautiful wine. On the palate it has above all a beautiful structure with tannins that welcome you in before finishing with spicy notes. The Clos Rouge is a good wine to keep in the cellar. You will enjoy it in its youth if you like structured wines, but you will especially love it after 3-5 years of ageing if you are a lover of fleshy wines with rounded tannins.

DAMIEN BRUNEAU

The family winery, producing Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil wines, enjoys the diversity of the terroirs of the Loire Valley. With 20 hectares scattered throughout the appellation, the range is wide: the red wines delight the palate for their complex aromas; the dry rosé wines in small yield are better known; sparkling wines in Crémant de Loire are a tribute to the region's wines. In the vines as in the cellars, each decision is important. Damien Bruneau has understood this well: he combines tradition and modernity, striving to give the best of vintages year after year.
