The grapes come from south-facing vineyards around the village of Kanzem and the wine is aged in traditional barrels before being bottled. The result is a wonderfully silky Pinot Noir, which appears crisp and fresh on the palate. On the nose, the wine is intense and complex. Notes of violet, cherry and blackcurrant escape leaving delicate smoky and spicy flavours. Silky and textured, this Pinot Noir leaves a crystalline and persistent finish in the mouth, leaving the field to the pleasure of tasting!

The Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier estate was born from the union of 3 renowned German estates unified in 1966: Bischöfliches Konvikt (created in 1840), Bischöfliches Priesterseminar (created in 1773) and Hohe Domkirche (created in 1851). This association has enabled the estate to shine all over the world thanks to the reputation of its known plots and sought after by all the great amateurs. The complexity of these terroirs lies in this harmony typical of the Mosel: sloping slopes, soils dominated by slate and an optimal climate for the maturity of Riesling.
