FIXIN 2019 - LOUIS LATOUR

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Burgundy / Fixin AOC / 13,5 % vol / 100% Pinot noir

Finesse and incredible emotions that only the Côte de Nuits can offer! An up-and-coming appellation!
Located between Gevrey-Chambertin and Dijon, Fixin is one of the most northerly vineyards in Burgundy! An exceptional marly clay-limestone terroir and an eastern exposure give this appellation, less recognised than its neighbours (Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey St Denis, Chambolle-Musigny or Vosne-Romanee), an excellent value for money. This vintage is structured and powerful but already very supple to drink! 2 or 3 years in the cellar will make it a bottle of great class. A most surprising discovery!

LATOUR LOUIS

An independent family run business, the Maison Louis Latour is among the most respected wine merchants of Bourgogne. Known worldwide for the quality of its red and white wines, the company has built a reputation of tradition and innovation. Considered one of the most traditional merchant-farmers, Louis Latour produces some of the best wines in Burgundy, and has also led the way in the production of fine wines from other regions (Ardèche). The Latours have been winemakers since the 17th century, and are now owners of a 50-hectare estate; which includes the largest area of grand crus in the Côte d'Or with a total of 28 hectares. The vineyards extend from Chambertin - in the north - to Chevalier Montrachet - in the south.
