Born from the intention of the Lurton brothers to confront the heights of the Argentinian plateaus of Mendoza, the Bodega Piedra Negra produces typical, fine and elegant wines. The origin of the name of this domaine (which translates in English as "black stone") comes from the very dark earth which constitutes the foot of the Andean mountains and which contrasts with the white snows of the summits. From the outset, this name evokes the difficult conditions in which these delicious wines are produced (height of the plateaus at an altitude of 1,100 meters and therefore high thermal amplitude, semi-desert climate.)
