LEAVE YOUR REVIEWLovely Cotes Du Rhone from the Orange area which sits just next to the famous village of Chateauneuf de Pape. The wine has a good concentration, dark berrie fruit favour with lovely tannins. it went very well with a red meat stew.
Tasty wine from Southern Rhone. Complex and deep, rather well-balanced. Aroma of red berries and pepper is obvious. Velvety and smooth to drink. Good to pair with red meat, blue-veined cheese.
A wine as fruity on the nose as on the palate, but with a certain alcoholic note not to be underestimated. I found it suitable for an aperitif with cold meats and cheeses that are not too flavoursome.
CDRs are my favourite table wines. But in this cuvée we find original flavours that are not standard in the appellation. Another remarkable point is how well this wine holds up after opening, as it still releases all its aromas 24 to 48 hours after opening!
A wine to be tasted! Intense and identifiable aromas. A beautiful ruby red. Bought young but with the hope that in a year of ageing it can explode and improve
A round tasting Côtes du Rhone. A wine with the typical Grenache aromas and a harmonious, round finish. For us, a discovery with a clear buy recommendation.
Excellent discovery for this lovely Côtes du Rhône. Good balance, fruity and goes perfectly with cheese or poultry to my taste
After several disappointments, finally a French wine with an absolutely first-class bouquet that reminded me distinctly of cherry and an aftertaste of spices (black pepper) that leaves a feeling of enveloping softness and an excellent depth of retronasal aromas.
A good wine but nothing exceptional. Quite disappointed. From the comments, I expected more richness and roundness on the palate.
This wine is a real explosion of flavours! We travel to the South with it: explosion on the palate, floral nose with a beautiful dynamic in the mouth. It is a pleasure wine.
A fairly consistent fruity wine with a good alcoholic note. The nose expresses a bouquet of red fruit (especially cherry), slightly spicy and does not betray on the palate. I liked it.
A very interesting Syrah-based blend. Purple colour. Both red and black fruits on the nose, particularly blackberry and blueberry. Dry and tannic on the palate, especially on the finish with spicy notes of black pepper.
Good value for money, my friends loved this bright red wine and it was perfect with a platter of charcuterie and cheese. I recommend this wine
A COTES DU RHÔNE VILLAGES as it should be.
Smooth on the palate, pleasant acidity. Simply a nice solid everyday wine. You can't go wrong here. Notes of dark red fruits and garrigue.
A still, supple, addictive wine that will accompany you on any occasion. A magnificent discovery. We've just enjoyed it with a brouillade of tanches (Nyonsais olives) and piquillos. Well ... let's open a second one!
Excellent wine, it had a good rating from Robert Parker that was fully justified, I recommend it, top quality to price ratio, what more could you ask for.
A welcome new entry among my favourite red wines. A thick Côtes du Rhône, elegant, round, fresh, enveloping, deliciously fruity. We made friends right away. Well worth the price. I will be ordering more, and not just for me.
COTES DU RHÔNE surprising value for money round and fresh with good aromas. I drank it with my wife to accompany a selection of cheeses. I will buy again
A very good Côtes du Rhône from a DOMAINE whose reputation is well established. High quality control work for a wine with unbeatable quality to price ratio.
A wine that offers everything for very little, a real all-rounder capable of coping with a glass in the middle of the afternoon or a good piece of meat at lunchtime.
A very nice Côtes du Rhône. However, it needs some time. Better open an hour before drinking. It gets better with every glass. Good value for money.
High-end business based in Orange, Maison François-Xavier Nicolas Père & Fils is at the origin of tasty vintages, well conducted around expressive and gourmet fruit. This is what we are looking for in these southern latitudes: freshness and balance. A free thinker and a craftsman at heart, François-Xavier Nicolas has been delivering a short range of wines from the south of France for the past ten years or so, just like him: sober, elegant, passionate.
