LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA star wine that lives up to the expectations. It shows a great youthfulness despite being a 2018 vintage. It manages to maintain a remarkable level of freshness while showcasing all the wonderful aging notes.
This is the first time I have tried this wine. Simply fantastic!. Straw yellow colour with golden highlights. Persuasive nose with notes of yellow-fleshed fruit, dried fruit and sweet spices such as vanilla. The palate is round and quite savoury. A super chardonnay from the area!
Little acidity on the palate. Mineral wine with a very pronounced oak ageing as expected but no predominant fruity note. For the price we expected better.
Exceptional... Fortunately! It was a gift but I was able to taste it and I was not disappointed! It's full, the effect on the palate is quite striking, and the flavours remain on the palate for a long time: what a pleasure!
A great Burgundy white, wood integrated in the right way, not excessive. Astonishing acidity and minerality, it still has decades of life ahead of it, almost a shame to open it now.
Drunk the 2018, simply incredible: saffron yellow in colour, notes of vanilla, yellow-fleshed fruit and a slight barrique on the finish!
The top of the pure Chardonnays, take the same vintage and let it age in the bottle to appreciate its evolution
An independent family run business, the Maison Louis Latour is among the most respected wine merchants of Bourgogne. Known worldwide for the quality of its red and white wines, the company has built a reputation of tradition and innovation. Considered one of the most traditional merchant-farmers, Louis Latour produces some of the best wines in Burgundy, and has also led the way in the production of fine wines from other regions (Ardèche). The Latours have been winemakers since the 17th century, and are now owners of a 50-hectare estate; which includes the largest area of grand crus in the Côte d'Or with a total of 28 hectares. The vineyards extend from Chambertin - in the north - to Chevalier Montrachet - in the south.
