A very attractive wine that combines the flesh and fruit, with a dimension of immediate pleasure which is reflected in the mouth by very fine tannins. It really has everything of a great Syrah!more reviews

An Israeli Syrah, a great discovery not to be missed!
This pretty Syrah is full-bodied and tasty. Golan Heights is the northernmost, and generally considered the best, appellation in Israel. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for twelve months. It has aromas of cherry, raspberry and plum as well as notes of tobacco, black tea, smoke and French oak. Ready to drink as soon as it comes out, the Gamla Syrah will remain in good shape for five to seven years. A superb discovery that is out of the ordinary! A nugget on the palate!

GOLAN HEIGHTS WINERY

Golan Heights Estate is an Israeli winery located in Katzrin, built on the site of a Mishnaic period farming village in the Golan Heights. It is the third largest vineyard in Israel. In 2012, Golan Heights Winery was named New World Winery of the Year by Wine Enthusiast magazine. From its inception to today, the winery continues to deepen and make its mark in the Israeli wine world. The Golan derives its grapes from sixteen vineyards located in the Golan Heights and a vineyard located in the Upper Galilee. The chief winemaker is Victor Schoenfeld, originally from Napa.
