Certainly one of the best vintages created by the Château so far!
The history of this beautiful 70-hectare vineyard next to the Châteaux Montrose and Calon-Ségur is intimately linked to the creation of the Médoc. Founded in 1810 by Bernard Phélan, an Irishman by birth, the estate would later be developed by his son Frank, becoming the Château Phélan Ségur at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, Phélan Ségur is hailed as one of the best Saint-Estèphes, in the purest tradition and with definite laying-down potential! This vintage is the perfect example and a major triumph for the winery. A Saint-Estèphe offering superb quality for the price!

CHÂTEAU PHÉLAN SEGUR

Phélan-Ségur represents a sound investment from Saint-Estèphe because of its consistency and excellent level of quality for a reasonable price. Due to the ideal location on the banks of the Garonne, both the first and second wines have distinctive characters, marked by notes of cedar wood as well as having a very drinkable, classically Médoc style. A wine that will win over many!
