It is a success! The balance is very interesting between the sweetness and the acidity which maintains a pleasant freshness at the end of the palate. The aromas vary between ripe and candied fruits, honey, but also some citrus fruits such as grapefruit.more reviews

A unique wine made from noble grapes to result in a sweet and balanced Riesling.
The German terroirs offer wonderful white wines, fine and elegant. This is the case with this Riesling, which has won several awards for its character and unique palate. The sloping vineyards of the Nahe face south at a level above the sea, perfect for growing an expressive Riesling. Sonne is built around intense notes of ripe fruit, concentrated in aromas. The nose reveals peach and honey notes. On the palate, tangy flavours contrast the sweetness of the Riesling and develop towards notes of candied grapefruit zest, which makes it a delicious and complex wine. A supple, lively and delicate cuvée expressing the elegance of Riesling... German style!

TESCH

When Martin Tesch took over the parental cellar in 1997, he immediately began to reorient it completely: The vineyard area was reduced to 19 hectares in order to cultivate only the best sites - and almost exclusively with Riesling. Since then, no more chemical additives have been used in the vineyard and no artificial improvement of the wine cellar has been made. So at Tesch Winery you will only find fully fermented and natural wines that clearly reflect the character of the sites. The five sites could hardly be more different: Besides their orientation and the inclination of the slopes, their soil is extremely diverse, from silty loess interspersed with shell limestone, to clayey soil and weathered soil of red sandstone, passing through the soil. volcanic, everything is represented there. No wonder Martin Tesch was named Winemaker of the Year 2012 by the FAZ, in addition to countless awards.
