LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA very good surprise. A beautiful colour. Long on the palate. Not too sweet. Excellent with cod in a chorizo crust!
A pinot gris with 10 years of ageing, on a grand cru terroir and at this price is exceptional! A magnificent golden colour and aromas of candied fruits make this wine elegant and of a very good quality!
A 10-year-old pinot grigio, from one of the most vocated areas and also from land classified as grand cru, produced by a company with a good name; plus found in promo with an aggressive discount.
is there anything else to add?
Big fan of Gustave Lorentz, big fan of the balanced and digestible side of Altenberg de Bergheim. Big fan of the wonderful honeyed character that the years give to this wine.
It is clear in the glass with a brilliant golden yellow colour. Bouquet with fruity aromas, accompanied by spicy notes.
On the palate the wine is mineral, fresh, vigorous.
this grand cru is truly unmissable for those who love great Alsatian wines. very fruity and aromatic, it can only satisfy even the most difficult palates!
I found this little Pinot Gris really very good, I took advantage of a promotion to buy a bottle and on occasion I'll have some more, to drink chilled.
Wow. First time I have tasted such an old pinot gris. A meditation wine that goes very well at the end of a meal, a wonderful experience, I have already bought it again!
An exceptionally elegant wine. Its aromatic bouquet reveals notes of ripe fruit and mineral nuances. On the palate, it has a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness, culminating in a lingering finish. A sophisticated wine that enchants with every sip.
Founded in 1936 on the Bergheim hillsides in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard, the Gustave Lorentz estate has 33 hectares of vines all grown organically. This Alsatian estate defines its vintner job in these words: " one can only be a vintner with a real passion: the ruggedness of the natural environment, the endless work it needs and the noble results achieved each year demand that passion that drives us. This approach results on a homogeneous and well-calibrated range, combining a regular good quality and a great availability of the wines...one of the restaurants' favourite estates!
