MACON PIERRECLOS 2020 - MAISON ALBERT BICHOT

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Burgundy / Mâcon-Pierreclos AOC / 13 % vol

A Macôn that lives up to the reputation of this house... By Albert Bichot: Promising sensations! Stunning!
The village of Pierreclos is located in the extreme south of the Mâconnais, on the border with Beaujolais... This is why, logically, this Mâcon will be sublimated by the softness and delicacy of Gamay. Indeed, it exudes a nose of cherry, plum and sweet spices. On the palate it is soft and direct with crisp aromas of tangy flavours. The fairly feisty finish gives way to very addictive notes of red fruits!

MAISON ALBERT BICHOT

The "Maison Albert Bichot" was founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot and it was his grandson, Albert, who gave it a new awakening at the end of the 19th century. Since 1996, the management of the Maison has been ensured by the sixth generation in the person of Albéric Bichot. The house has 100 hectares of vines which are exploited in a sustainable way, supplemented by purchases of grapes and musts. The estate has completely transformed its approach to growing vines, by pruning shorter, working the soil (plowing) and green harvesting when necessary, leaving only 6 bunches per vine. The house has an impressive range of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus. Those from the Côte de Nuits are vinified and aged at the Clos Frantin estate. Those of the Côte de Beaune are at the Domaine du Pavillon.
