LEAVE YOUR REVIEWIn glass - translucent ruby red, very typical for PN. Nose - red fruit, cherry. In mouth - light, juicy, medium acidity. Cherry, salt, raspberry notes, quite restrained. Medium smoky aftertaste, pleasant, easy.
A very good value for money and very nice promises. It certainly deserves to be kept for another two years to reach maturity. It is, as it is, a very accessible wine for those who are new to the pleasures of red wine.
Descendant of many generations of winemakers, Paul Fournier took over his family estate in the 1950s with just two functional hectares. Since then as the family grew, the same happened to the estate. Through taking charge of the vineyard, wine-making and sales, Jacques and Claude have worked to extend the domaine. By the start of the 1990s, it extended over more than 60 hectares spread over the best terroirs of the three Centre Loire appellations, namely, Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé and Menetou Salon. A development that promises a bright future as today the third generation has joined the family estate.
