At La Bégude everything is good! After the red and the rosé, it's the first time I tasted their white Bandol and it's a real success! At this price, I'm afraid it will go very quickly, so go for it!more reviews

This white Bandol is a supple, refreshing and finely floral wine!
The Domaine de la Bégude owns a vast territory of 30 hectares of vines located on the highest point of the Bandol appellation, at an altitude of 410 metres, overlooking the Mediterranean. In the heart of this mosaic of vines, olive trees, forest and garrigue, the Saint Louis cuvée is born. The 60% of Clairette vinified for this cuvée comes from young vines, with a clay-limestone subsoil, where freshness and sunshine are intertwined. This vintage produced lovely sweet and tart berries giving a lot of tension to the finished wine. The Ugni Blanc and Rolle complete the blend with optimal ripeness. Its aromatic is intense, elegant and complex where each note swirls leaving here and there a perfume of white flowers, carnation, peach, grape. The palate is clean and fresh at the attack, the wine pleasantly coats the palate with a sensation of balance and harmony. The finish is long, salty and thirst-quenching. A pure delight to accompany fish a la plancha, fresh goat's cheese, or pan-fried scallops.

DOMAINE DE LA BEGUDE

It was in 1996 that Guillaume Tari fell in love with the Bandol region and acquired the Domaine de la Bégude. This estate is steeped in history and bears its name well, since beguda is the place where one drinks in Provençal dialect. Guillaume and his wife Soledad have been producing organically certified wine and olive oil since 2006. 23 hectares of vines scattered within 500 hectares of garrigue, like an aerial balcony over the Mediterranean. One of the particularities of the vineyard lies in its location at altitude: On the highest point of the Bandol appellation, at 410 metres, the vines preserve a freshness with significant temperature variations between day and night. In this country where Mourvèdre is king, this grape variety knows how to express the particularities of its terroir: rocky soil, plenty of sunshine, altitude, iodine mistral. The estate produces rosé wines for gastronomy, but also red wines of Provence, which are rarer. Great wines made for ageing.
