Each vintage is unique. However, we cannot deny their family resemblance due to its terroir close to Pomerol: complex notes of red fruits and floral notes evolving with age, towards more spicy, truffled, violet and cherry nuances and sustained on the palate, by the finesse and smoothness of velvety tannins. This vintage is bursting with fruit and richness while remaining balanced, well-textured and long. It will offer pleasure from the start but should also evolve with great elegance. When young, the wines of Grand Corbin-Despagne go perfectly with red meats and game. Older, their finesse will go wonderfully with white meats and poultry, even fish!

CHÂTEAU GRAND CORBIN-DESPAGNE

Château Grand Corbin-Despagne is located northwest of Saint-Émilion, on the gravelly plateau near the Pomerol appellation and Château Cheval Blanc. The Despagne family has owned the chateau for more than two centuries and François Despagne has been running it since 1996. The chateau has been certified organic since 2013. Its terroir close to Pomerol gives wines that express complex aromas of red fruit and floral notes evolving with age, towards spicier nuances, truffles, violet and cherry that are sustained on the palate, by the finesse and smoothness of velvety tannins.
