This is a great vintage for red Cahors wine and it has just come of age. Superb value for money!
It has a dark garnet red colour, good intensity and offers plenty of concentration on the nose. It exudes really ripe red fruits and gentle notes of spice at first and then followed by notes of woodland. On the palate, the balance between the various elements is outstanding. We find good body with pleasant astringency. It will pair excellently with any rich gourmet dishes, such as stews, duck breast and terrines but also with game and cheese.

CHATEAU LAMARTINE

Château Lamartine holds a special place in the Cahors vineyards. Its 37 hectares planted on the oldest terraces in the Lot valley benefit from a southern exposure, guaranteeing the good maturity of the Malbec. The Gayraud family, winegrowers for four generations on these clay and limestone terroirs, take great care in the cultivation of their vines and in the aging of their wines. Lise and Benjamin make up this fourth generation: “Our brother and sister Tandem is our strength, our terroirs are our wealth. Our idea: Ever more sustainable viticulture, ever finer wines." Lise & Benjamin
