LEAVE YOUR REVIEWAn attractive nose with a floral and mineral character. In the mouth the tannins are supple, it is a wine of density and power, with a beautiful aromatic intensity and a lot of structure!
Saint Émilion grand cru bought via the reviews, largely justified. Unbeatable value for money. Can be drunk immediately but deserves another 2 to 3 years in the cellar. The wine has a very good balance of red fruit, leather and liquorice on the finish. Can't wait to bring it out in 2024?
This small vineyard, with an area of three hectares, located on the gentle slopes of a sandy glacis stretching to the west of the limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion, comes from a family property acquired in the 19th century by the back - grandfather of Patrick Junet, current owner. It is planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc grape varieties on a soil of ancient sand crossed by veins of red clay in the basement. The combination of these elements gives Clos Junet wine the aromatic expression, suppleness and roundness that characterize it. Voluntarily limited production, constant attention to the management of the vineyard, vinification and aging adapted to each harvest help to enhance the organoleptic qualities of Clos Junet. These have earned it a regular mention in several guides and awarded by the juries of international competitions.
