ZELTINGER SONNENUHR AUSLESE*** 2019 GOLD CAPSULE - MARKUS MOLITOR

0,75 L White Wine / Germany / Mosel / Riesling / 8 % vol / 100% Riesling

"Another fabulous Auslese from Markus Molitor’s most loved vineyard." Robert Parker.
This sweet wine, 100% Riesling, will surprise your taste buds! Markus Molitor is known for the precision and finesse with which he ages his wines, with absolute respect for the natural product of the grape. His wines, such as the Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese, have been awarded by the most important wine critics for their freshness and their strong personalities, specific to each of the terroirs. On the nose, citrus aromas emerge with lemony notes. On the palate, round and delicate flavours come to enchant us with subtle and persistent saline notes. A fresh, refined and sweet Riesling that carries us away in flavours typical of the best in the German wine world.

MARKUS MOLITOR

In 1984, when he was just 20 years old, Markus Molitor took over the reins of the family-owned winery, which at the time spanned 7.5 acres. Despite his young age, he cultivated a clearly defined and ambitious vision: to give back to the wines of the Moselle valley their letters of nobility, thanks to the typical Rieslings faithful to the identity of their vineyard of origin (terroir) and to their extraordinary longevity. Meticulous work carried out in the vineyard and cellar - without any compromise - as well as an absolute respect for the grapes and the wine constitute his guidelines. He wants his wines to have structure and depth and that they reveal a beautiful freshness as well as a magnificent radiance, all characteristics typical of the wines of the Moselle valley and which allow them today to appear among the best notes from Robert Parker's guide. These wines are distinguished in 3 categories: White Capsule: dry white, Green Capsule: demi-sec Gold Capsule: sweet.
