LEAVE YOUR REVIEWOutstanding wine. Pronounced intensity of aromas and flavours( orange zest, ginger, apricot, orange marmalade and much more). Perfectly balanced with high acidity which whitstand the fruit concentration and a long and pleasent finish.
Perfect service! Thank you very much!
A marvel to be savoured with every sip. Infinite. I know I could have let it sleep for many more years, but from now on it is a joy: why wait?
A beautiful full gold colour. Vivid. Rich in matter. Dense and full-bodied. Notes of dried fruit, nougat, toasted hazelnuts, enamel, and much more. Full in the mouth, the freshness makes it magnificent. Excellent Sauternes!
A lot of sweetness, personality and acidity with a more discreet sugar than in other Sauternes, which can match this wine with more dishes and desserts.
Simply suduirat. A guarantee. Perfect wine even though 2011 is not, I think, the best year for sauternes. Can't help but like it. Good good good!
What elegance, Dense, notes of dried fruit, incredible freshness on the palate. Really good this Sauternes! I think I will be picking it up again soon
A great Sauternes, unanimously appreciated by our guests. Beautiful golden colour, honey on the palate. Very good length on the palate.
A sure value in Sauternes. Sweet nose of wilted flowers, dried apricots and honey. Succulent, oily, extraordinarily elegant palate with a good balance between sugar and acidity. Long and ample aftertaste.
Opened as soon as I arrived, I must say that here I expected more from a name like Suduiraut you always expect 100. Perhaps it should have been drunk younger. I'll have another bottle to confirm.
Domaine de Suduiraut extends over 200 hectares with 90 hectares being given over to cultivate vines on a soil that's predominantly sandy-clay gravel. The vineyard grows 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon. The proximity of the Ciron and Garronne rivers gives the area an autumn microclimate characterised by misty mornings followed by warm, sunny afternoons. In 1958, the domaine took the name Suduiraut after the marriage of Nicole d'Allard to Léonard de Suduiraut. The château was plundered and burnt down during the Fronde insurrection, to then be rebuilt in the 17th century and renamed Cru du Roy at the end of 18th century. It has then been revived by Jean Joseph Duroy, Baron de Noaillan, the nephew of the Suduirait family. The family home acquired a cartouche depicting the Suduiraut and Duroy coats of arms, forming the basis for the crest now used by Château Suduiraut. The domaine features French-style gardens designed by Le Nôtre, the famous gardener to Louis XIV, which have been enhanced by its owners. On 18 April 1855, the domaine was listed as a Sauternes Premier Cru during the classification of Gironde wines.Taken over by AXA Millésimes in 1992, its mission was to preserve and uphold the great expertise in history and in wine making. It intended that the great wines that had been produced in the past could achieve and express their full potential.
