LEAVE YOUR REVIEWVery good. Light body - typical Gamay aromas, mainly cherry at nose. Juicy and drinkable, an excellent interpretation of the grape variety. Good for aperitif
The Marrans family estate has been managed by the Mélinand family since 1970. The estate is located in Fleurie, 50km north of Lyon in the heart of Beaujolais vintages. The vines benefit from the best care throughout the year with one goal: to produce the most beautiful grapes possible. Controlling yields with goblet pruning, the relatively high average age of the vines (45 years) allows the full potential of the grape varieties to be expressed. The vineyard is planted with respect for traditions by promoting a high density of planting (9,000 to 10,000 vines / ha) in order to have competition between each vine. The plots are managed as naturally as possible, without chemical fertilizers. In spring, the estate favours surface tillage as well as copper and sulfur-based treatments (AB certification).
