MORGON - CORCELETTE 2019 - DOMAINE DES MARRANS

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Beaujolais / Morgon AOC / 13 % vol / 100% Gamay

"An elegant and charming Morgon..." R. Parker
Located at altitude and facing south, the "Corcelette" parcel gives this wine an intense freshness! With a lively and mineral profile, it is also robust and well cared for thanks to its 12 months maturation in oak barrels. A Morgon with body and character. It is pleasant to drink when young, but will reveal its major assets and a beautiful evolution on the suppleness with 4 or 5 years of cellaring! A very, very nice discovery by our experts.

DOMAINE DES MARRANS

The Marrans family estate has been managed by the Mélinand family since 1970. The estate is located in Fleurie, 50km north of Lyon in the heart of Beaujolais vintages. The vines benefit from the best care throughout the year with one goal: to produce the most beautiful grapes possible. Controlling yields with goblet pruning, the relatively high average age of the vines (45 years) allows the full potential of the grape varieties to be expressed. The vineyard is planted with respect for traditions by promoting a high density of planting (9,000 to 10,000 vines / ha) in order to have competition between each vine. The plots are managed as naturally as possible, without chemical fertilizers. In spring, the estate favours surface tillage as well as copper and sulfur-based treatments (AB certification).
