CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE BLANC 2019 - CLOS DE L'ORATOIRE DES PAPES

0,75 L White Wine / France / Rhone / Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOP / 14 % vol

Prestigious maison, reputable appellation... Desired and found on the finest tables...
If the Châteauneuf du Pape vineyard is today best known for its great reds (95% of the appellation), connoisseurs will recognise the mark of a great terroir in its white wines. We are in the well isolated Clos de l'Oratoire with two plots of Éclats Calcaires that give birth to a wine whose rarity is matched only by its finesse and will seduce the palates in search of freshness and minerality. This wine expresses itself through the typical white-fleshed fruit aromas of orange blossom, anise and lemon on a woody base. Subtle and complex, this Chateau Neuf du Pape white will seduce you for sure!

CLOS DE L'ORATOIRE DES PAPES

In 1880, Edouard Amouroux acquired a vineyard benefiting from an exceptional exposure in the town of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Leaning against one of these plots, a small oratory dedicated to St Marc and dating from the 18th Century, watches over the vineyard and is at the origin of this name which has become legendary. The legend was born... And since 1926, the bottle has always been signed with the same label created by the Amouroux family. The Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes comes from a 25 hectare vineyard, a perfect balance between the 3 great soils of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, rolled pebbles, saffron and limestone chips.
