LEAVE YOUR REVIEWThis is a "Bordeaux in miniature". It's very nice, and it is well made but definitely not a "big" wine. It has delicate fruit and hints of spice. Smooth tannins with just a suggestion of wood; all well balanced.
A sure-fire winner. Bordeaux from a good vintage with a even blend of Merlot and Cabernet with ripe expression and depth. Great value at the multi-buy price and worth filling the cellar with
A superb wine that charmed me right from the first tasting. Ripe, slightly spicy black fruit flavours. A long and sweet finish that embellished a good sautéed beef with carrots. Here is a cuvée that I recommend with eyes closed and which will seduce both in terms of value for money and in terms of taste!
Excellent haut medoc. The 2019 is a good vintage with a pleasant bouquet
fruity and light, combining the strawberry with the fresh and vegetal note of the cabernet.
Château Citran is one of the oldest manors in the Médoc. The period of real boom for Château Citran was in 1980s when it was bought by a Japanese company which has invested heavily in the estate. Its efforts have been followed up under the leadership of the Merlaut-Villars family, owners since 1997. The symbol of renewal of this good old "bourgeois" is the young Céline Villars (Chasse Spleen) - the château's representative from now on.
