CARILLON DE L'ANGELUS 2017 - SECOND WINE OF CHATEAU ANGELUS

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux / Saint-Emilion Grand Cru AOC / 13,5 % vol

"Impressive freshness and energy with rounded tannins and a wonderfully pure finish." Robert Parker
Born with the 1987 vintage, Carillon d'Angélus has acquired its own identity over the years. Reflecting the high standards of the estate's teams, it is made from a variable percentage of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon selected from different terroirs in Saint-Emilion. It is composed of a majority of Merlot in this vintage, and is appreciated for the purity of its fruit aromas, its velvety tannins and its elegant finish. The wine delivers warm notes of black plums, cherries, as well as spicier notes of cinnamon and dried herbs. The palate explodes with red berries, coated with soft and silky tannins. A wonderful wine with a great personality!

CHÂTEAU ANGÉLUS

Recognised the world over as one of the jewels of Saint-Emilion, Château Angélus translates the devotion of one family to exalt the essence of its terroir. The Angélus style is the marriage of bold grape varieties with an exceptional terroir. It has a unique character created on the south side of Saint-Emilion with a large ratio of Cabernet Franc which has been enjoyed in many vintages - rich, full-bodied, smooth, elegant, refined, pure and fresh.
