CHATEAU LEOVILLE LAS CASES 2015 - SECOND CRU CLASSE

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux / Saint-Julien AOC / 13,5 % vol

"Certainly the wine of the appellation for this year, in other words one of the best wines from the left bank" Robert Parker
An exceptional wine! Château Léoville Las Cases is undeniably one of the most prestigious Bordeaux domaines in the Saint-Julien appellation. Created in 1638, it experienced the horrors and the various divisions of the Revolution before turning into the current domaine, a neighbour of the Château Latour vineyard. A complex wine, the bouquet reflects long ageing (sixteen months in 85% new barrels) with toasted and vanilla notes, which allow the grapes to express themselves on aromas of forest fruits. The broad and coated palate has excellent balance, and a robust and elegant structure. Its aromas of black fruit and spice persist in a very rich finish. A perfect model of Saint-Julien.

CHÂTEAU LÉOVILLE LAS CASES

Often considered as the equal of the first classified growths of Bordeaux, the great wine of Léoville Las Cases is today the most prestigious of the Saint-Julien wines. Owned by Jean-Hubert Delon for more than 30 years, Léoville Las Cases is endowed with an exceptional terroir: 53 hectares on the banks of the Gironde where the first wine is made. "It has been impossible to fault Léoville Las Cases for 30 years. With superb depth, the quality reaches, even exceeds that of the first classified growths for a quarter of the price. For us, it is the best of the second classified growths. (Revue des Vins de France, December 2011). The first of the second growths!
