LE PETIT LION 2017 - SECOND WINE OF CHATEAU LEOVILLE LAS CASES

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux / Saint-Julien AOC / 13 % vol

Pure quality and prestige for this second wine which benefits from all the advantages of its elder brother, at a lower price!
Château Léoville Las Cases is undeniably one of the most prestigious estates in Bordeaux in the Saint-Julien appellation, neighbouring the Château Latour vineyard. This vintage has produced particularly successful second wines thanks to the attention paid to the young vines. The Merlots are rich, the Cabernet Francs fine and elegant, and the Cabernet Sauvignons powerful and structured. The tannic structure is powerful but very silky and elegant, stretching to a particularly long and complex finish.

CHÂTEAU LÉOVILLE LAS CASES

Often considered as the equal of the first classified growths of Bordeaux, the great wine of Léoville Las Cases is today the most prestigious of the Saint-Julien wines. Owned by Jean-Hubert Delon for more than 30 years, Léoville Las Cases is endowed with an exceptional terroir: 53 hectares on the banks of the Gironde where the first wine is made. "It has been impossible to fault Léoville Las Cases for 30 years. With superb depth, the quality reaches, even exceeds that of the first classified growths for a quarter of the price. For us, it is the best of the second classified growths. (Revue des Vins de France, December 2011). The first of the second growths!
