LEAVE YOUR REVIEWThis is a beautiful parcel from Cuilleron, still young but already showing a nice fatness associated with an elegant minerality and a nice freshness. Beautiful substance on stone fruit, honey and spices, should gain in density with ageing.
This "lieu dit digue" vintage is a nugget! A very mineral white Saint Joseph, very pleasant in the mouth, with its notes of white flowers and its toasted finish. This taut white will go perfectly with slightly spicy Asian dishes.
Yves Cuilleron is to date the most important winemaker producer of the whole Northern Rhône. His estate, created in 1920 by his grandfather, extends over fifty hectares for about twenty references, particularly in Saint-Joseph, Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie. Yves Cuilleron is part of a winegrower's movement with a rare dynamism, completing and extending his estate while at the same time adding a signature to the style of his wines: the maturing in wood (9 months for the whites, 18 months for the reds) gives strength to the character, highlights each terroir and expresses real finesse. A true enthusiast, he is also one of the three founders of Les Vins de Vienne.
