DOMAINE DE LA PIROLETTE

In the heart of Saint-Amour, the Domaine de la Pirolette is located at the top of the hill opposite the church. In a building full of character, the premises, which date back to 1600, have inherited the name of a pretty white flower: the Pirole. The Domaine is one of the largest in Saint-Amour. The vines are grouped all around the property. They benefit from a beautiful diversity of terroirs, among which we find stony soils of sandstone and blue stones, clay and weathered and deep pink granite. The most emblematic plots are vinified separately, respecting the different localities: "Le Carjot", "La Poulette", "La Pirolette". 2013 is the first harvest since the domain was taken over by Grégory and Virginie Barbet and the co-owners. It is a story of amateurs, as the nickname of the Domaine "Les Passiés" indicates. The harvest is a highlight of the year here, everyone is looking forward to meeting up.
