LEAVE YOUR REVIEWThis is a non-quevri wine (i.e. made using modern vinification methods). The nose is rather restrained, with mostly mineral notes coming to the fore, resembling a bit some volcanic Hungarian wines such as Somlo or Badacsony. Texture is on the firm side, with good freshness.
A dry and light white wine, tried as an aperitif. A beautiful yellow colour, a nose of fresh fruit, a fresh acidity in the mouth. Thirst-quenching, it has its place as an aperitif in the summer.
Original, to be tasted for its atypical nose. A very light colour with a medium body, but a richness that supports fish in a creamy sauce. Tasted blind, it will surprise your guests and wine lovers. Good value for money.
A very nice surprise for this wine that we opened for the aperitif. Very smooth, round and fruity. To be discovered urgently and without hesitation.
In 1974 Georg and Ilse Schuhmann founded the wine and agricultural company Familie Schuhmann. At that time, the winery focused on the sale of barrel and bottled wine. Their son Gernot Schuhmann, a graduate of the Krems viticulture school, focused on viticulture. In 1997, he was in charge of the management and marketing of the cellar, thus initiating a process of restructuring and improvement of quality.
