CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE - PEUR BLEUE 2018 - CHATEAU DE LA GARDINE

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Rhone / Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC / 15 % vol

The freest and purest expression of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, without added sulphites!
For more than ten years now, the Brunel family, concerned with quality and constantly seeking the best in their work, has been making its very first wine without added sulphites, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape "Peur Bleue". This vintage, as close as possible to the grape, is a great success: On the palate, it is an explosion of richness carried on notes of stewed red fruits. This tasting offers us a most harmonious balance, with a dense, velvety body, enveloped in fine-grained tannins. It is without hesitation a gourmet wine, to be savoured like a delicacy, for pleasure! Technically irreproachable, this wine deserves to be tasted at its true value, and will therefore require some decanting before being fully appreciated.

CHÂTEAU LA GARDINE

With a wine-making history dating back to the 17th century, the Brunel family has been wine-makers down the generations. In 1948, Gaston Brunel was a famous businessman when he bought Château de la Gardine before establishing the Brunel de la Gardine wine merchants. At the same time, they expanded their range into other Rhône Valley appellations by drawing on other renowned estates as suppliers of high-quality wines.
