Nice surprise this Riesling 2016. A floral nose and citrus notes (lemon in particular). Beautiful yellow color and a mineral attack that goes wonderfully with fish and crayfish.more reviews

"A highly elegant and complex Riesling with a fine but tight structure and a pure, long and stimulatingly salty finish. Great class." Robert Parker
Tesch winery once again illustrates all its expertise with a beautiful vintage! This Riesling has a powerful, perfectly tangy and fruity frame, including green apple and lemon. The whole thing is extremely well balanced, and we can wonderfully perceive all the great freshness that characterizes it. Ideal to accompany spicy meat!

Not at the heights of 18' vintage that I bought from Vinatis some months ago, but still a very good bone-dry Riesling! Minerals, white fowers, petrol, lemon, pear! High acidity & mineral finish! Good German Riesling for a fair price tag!

TESCH

When Martin Tesch took over the parental cellar in 1997, he immediately began to reorient it completely: The vineyard area was reduced to 19 hectares in order to cultivate only the best sites - and almost exclusively with Riesling. Since then, no more chemical additives have been used in the vineyard and no artificial improvement of the wine cellar has been made. So at Tesch Winery you will only find fully fermented and natural wines that clearly reflect the character of the sites. The five sites could hardly be more different: Besides their orientation and the inclination of the slopes, their soil is extremely diverse, from silty loess interspersed with shell limestone, to clayey soil and weathered soil of red sandstone, passing through the soil. volcanic, everything is represented there. No wonder Martin Tesch was named Winemaker of the Year 2012 by the FAZ, in addition to countless awards.
