MAGNUM PIC SAINT LOUP 2020 - CHÂTEAU LA ROQUE

1,5 L Red Wine / France / Languedoc-Roussillon / Pic-Saint-Loup AOC / 14 % vol

AB (organic wine) Biodynamic Demeter (biodynamic label) EU organic farming
A favourite of our experts and of Robert Parker A Pic Saint-Loup remarkable for its price, and what's more - it's ORGANIC!
Nestled in the heart of the prestigious Pic Saint-Loup appellation, in a pristine natural environment, Château La Roque, a property of Sylviane and Bertrand Barascud, marvellously expresses the best of this characteristic terroir. Run biodynamically for more than 15 years, the vineyard reveals wines of rare quality. This Pic Saint-Loup is the sincerest expression of it: ample, fruity, generous and warm, it had all our experts in agreement amidst 10 other standard-setters...A gem to try as soon as possible!

CHÂTEAU LA ROQUE

Located in the town of Fontanès, in the heart of the Pic Saint-Loup terroir, the estate covers 32 hectares of vines and benefits from a south/south-east facing terroir, between 125 and 230 meters above sea level, where there is a great interaction between the vegetation, the woods and the vineyards of the estate. The estate team manages the work of the vines and wine on a daily basis, respecting as much as possible the environment and the diversity of grape varieties, 80% of which are black. Thus, since the 2011 harvest, Château la Roque has been certified in organic and biodynamic agricultures, which allows them to make tasty, high-quality wines. "You have to give time, patience and love to the vine to get the best out of it."
