A bad year for Bordeaux, but apparently very good for Sauternes. Cold September nights and warm autumn days gave this wine outstanding freshness, concentration and aromatics. The wine is already showing tertiary notes of honey and dry fruit, as well as a darker hue. Very good Sauternes and QPR.more reviews

"Fruity, fresh and well-balanced with a smooth style despite its lively acidity." - Vinous -
Listed as a Premier Cru in the renowned 1855 classification, this domaine is famous for its terroir's value that has plenty of invaluable stoniness. Rayne Vigneau is a fresh wine that can be enjoyed young or kept in a cellar. It is a rare, distinctive wine with style that's brimming with intensity, freshness and length. This vintage gives us a wine of a golden shade with honey-coloured tints. The nose is very expressive and develops aromas of candied orange, lemon zest that builds to a great freshness. On the palate, the wine displays a remarkable balance between sweetness and acidity.
