Fancy a discovery, I let myself be tempted by this atypical orange wine. Its colour gives us the impression of a coppery rosé. Served well chilled, On the nose there are scents of spices, not very fruity. I expected a rather sweet wine but it turned out to be dry with a slightly bitter taste.more reviews

A distinctive, surprising wine for people who like to try something new!
Looking for something new? Les Jamelles offers you the chance to try a "vin orange" made using a little-known white grape maceration technique. Discover this distinctive blend that's certain to please wine lovers who like to be surprised and enjoy new tasting experiences! Light copper in colour and quite different from a rosé wine, this macerated white wine offers an unusual yet highly interesting aromatic range with subtle spiced notes of ginger, cumin, cloves, juniper berry, gingerbread and some hints of candied citrus fruit, orange zest and bergamot. Its palate is very delicate and fresh, smooth and well-balanced. Once again, citrus and floral notes (wallflower and nasturtium) are present, finishing with a gentle peppery hint (grey pepper) delivered by light tannins that leave a fresh sensation and a pleasant body.

Very good work from Jamelles on this orange wine. The grape varieties used for the blend make it rather unique. The maceration adds silky tannins to the whole. Very good!

A very nice discovery, it is a wine with both the profile of a white, but with the structure and some aromas of a red. A nice balance with a fresh and intense finish.

LES JAMELLES

The philosophy of Catherine Delaunay, the oenologist who created Les Jamelles in 1995, is to produce wines of character typical of their grape variety, wines of pleasure, aromatic and well balanced. Passionate about grape varieties and terroirs, she offers a unique collection of varietal wines from Pays d ’Oc, which suit all tastes and all occasions.
