HERMITAGE CUVEE EMILIE 2018 - DOMAINE DES REMIZIERES

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Rhone / Hermitage AOC / 14 % vol

"Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with a long silky finish, this high-flying wine should be drinkable soon, but will age easily for a decade and a half." R. Parker
First, the nose treats us to its dynamism with beautiful notes of red fruit, spice and violets. Then, scents of heath, thyme and mint wake up to become perfectly balanced by aromas of blackberry, liquorice and blueberry, making you want to dive into this elixir. A pure and expressive palate dominated by the fineness of the tannins as well as its well-balanced structure. A scale and a volume worthy of the greatest Hermitages!

DOMAINE DES REMIZIERES

Domaine des Remizières has been a family business for several generations. At the beginning, the operation had 4 hectares of vines, part of the harvest was delivered to a cooperative cellar. From 1973, the vinification is done entirely on the estate. Since that date, the estate has grown a lot since it currently reaches 35 hectares. At the beginning, it was Alphonse who managed the property. Then Philippe, his son, settled in 1977 and decided to market all the production in bottles. Expansion and modernization work is then done little by little. In 2005, Emilie, with her wine diploma in hand, joined her father. In 2009, Christophe, Emilie's brother, joined the estate after obtaining his BTS in viticulture / oenology. It is a work in family with a will and well-defined tasks.
