A good example and good value for the price. Good on the nose and a true Pinotage. Better with a red meat or roast- needs to be served at right temperature to enjoy to the fullestmore reviews

Here is a beautiful expression of this native South African grape! A complex juice, spicy and long on the palate that will appeal to the curious. Dare to try Pinotage!
Pinotage (a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault) by Ernst Gouws & Co borrows its crisp and tasty identity from the best terroirs of Stellenbosch. Playful, wild and almost animal with notes of leather and musk, this red should be shared without hesitation with tasty meats, a nice beef tenderloin, for example, with morel sauce.

ERNST GOUWS & CO

The Ernst Gouws & co estate was established in 1694. Thanks to French know-how, the Gouws family has been able to develop their vineyards to produce qualitative wines typical of South Africa. The proximity to the Atlantic gives these lands unique micro-climatic properties, the heat coming from the lands being attenuated. The vinifications are done in French oak barrels. You will understand: France is an example for the domain, which is inspired by the techniques and the requirement of our country to reveal the strength of their local terroirs!
