MARANGES 1ER CRU - CLOS DES LOYERES 2020 - CHÂTEAU DE LA CHARRIERE (YVES GIRARDIN)

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Burgundy / Maranges 1er Cru AOC / 13 % vol / 100% Pinot noir

Here is a true representation of the red wines of the southern Côte de Beaune. Instant pleasure from the first sip!
In a juicy and delicious frame, with a Morello cherry base, the Maranges Premier Cru Clos de Loyeres accommodates great raw material with a flattering woody hint. This is a very nice silky wine, medium depth, that develops on exalted fruit and a velvety texture. This charming wine is perfectly designed for seasonal dishes.

CHÂTEAU DE LA CHARRIERE

The Girardin family has cultivated vines for 13 generations and the estate grew in the 1960s thanks to Jean Girardin, who notably acquired the Château de la Charrière. After a childhood spent in the vineyards and in the cellar, Yves developed a passion for this wine culture. In 1981, the family domain of 12 hectares was shared and Yves was at the head of a 3 hectare farm. Wanting to expand and diversify the range of his appellations, he buys vines in Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard and currently operates 21.50 hectares. In 2003, Yves acquired the Château de la Charrière, the family property. The operation expands with the construction of a new cellar. In 2011, Benoît returned to the estate after studying in Beaune and Bordeaux in order to perpetuate the family know-how.
