Excellent, this fresh and fruity Rioja which will gain even more complexity over time. The 2019 was superb and this 2020 will be too. To recommend to any Beaujolais or other Gamay lover.more reviews

A Rioja of wild delicacy and incredible freshness!
The Artuke 2020 comes from a vineyard in the village of Baños de Ebro and is produced from 95% Tempranillo and 5% Viura planted on terraces above the Ebro between 420 to 550 meters above sea level on clay-limestone and sandy soils. Fermented in whole bunches and with carbonic maceration, the wine is then aged for up to six months in concrete vats in order to preserve the fruit even more. The result is magnificent with intense aromas of black raspberries and licorice. The palate is soft, round, juicy as well as very balanced and clean, notably thanks to a moderate alcohol. The Viura (white grape) seems to have contributed to the balance and freshness of the wine. An almost grotesque price/pleasure ratio!

ARTUKE

It was in 1991 that Miguel Blanco decided to leave the cooperative to make his own wines. His two sons then join him and it is the contraction of their first names, Arturo and Kike that is at the origin of the name the new bodega. The vineyard is spread over 22 hectares cultivated by Arturo and Kike according to the principles of biodynamics. Recoveries from endangered vineyards (old plots almost forgotten), traditional vinifications (maceration in whole bunches, punching down...) give unique terroir wines which are distinguished by many classic wines from Rioja by their fruit and their finesse. These wines are produced in ultra limited quantities and we are happy to be able to propose you some of these beautiful bottles.
